Brenda Gayle (Gibbs) Cothern

Mrs. Brenda Gayle Cothern, age 70, of Franklin, KY, passed away Tuesday, May 9th, 2023 at 5:00 PM at the Hospice House in Bowling Green, KY.

Visitation will be held on Saturday, May 13th, 2023 from 1:00 PM to 4:00 PM at Gilbert Funeral Home & Crematory, a graveside service will follow the visitation at Providence Cemetery in Simpson County, KY.

Brenda was born June 21, 1952 in Simpson County, KY to the late James Corwin Gibbs and the late Essie West Gibbs.  She was the wife of the late Garnett Cothern.  She was preceded in death a son, James Robert “Bo” Pitt and 2 sisters, Shirley Lynch and Linda Hudson.

She is survived by 2 sisters, Rose Mary Brewer (Howard Earl) and Connie Uhls (Tim) both of Franklin, KY and several nieces and nephews.

Brenda was a member of the Lake Springs Baptist Church.  She was retired from Berry Plastics.
