Bobby Lewis Meador

Mr. Bobby Lewis Meador, age 80, of Franklin, KY, passed away on Friday, August 30, 2024 at his daughter's residence.

Visitation will be held on Saturday, August 31, 2024 from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM at Gilbert Funeral Home & Crematory. Visitation will continue on Sunday, September 1, 2024 at 9:00 AM at the funeral home. Funeral services will be held on Sunday, September 1, 2024 at 4:00 PM with interment to follow in Greenlawn Cemetery.

Bobby was born on September 25, 1943 in Franklin, KY to the late Alonzo Meador and the late Effie Lillian (Crowder) Meador. He is also preceded in death by 5 siblings, John C. Meador, Velvie Mae Ruley, Edgar Lee Meador (Cullene), Mollie Brown (Audrey) and James Jackson “Jack” Meador.

He is survived by his wife of 52 years, Margaret Meador; 4 children, George Meador of Franklin, KY; John Meador (Jessica) of Franklin, KY, Sue-Margaret Meador and Eva-Marie Misiko of Fort Wayne, IN; 4 grandchildren, Emma-Rose Misiko, Liam-John Misiko, Lucas Meador and Liam Meador; sister-in-law, Brenda Hall Meador; and several nieces and nephews.

Bobby was a member of the First United Methodist Church in Franklin, KY. He was a 1961 graduate of Franklin-Simpson High School and attended Western Kentucky University. Bobby was retired from Outokumpu. He enjoyed hunting and farming.
