Betty Jeanette (Alford) Turner

Ms. Betty Jeanette Turner, age 88 of Franklin, KY, passed away Wednesday, April 27, 2022 at 10:59 AM at the Franklin Simpson Nursing and Rehab.

Visitation will be Friday, April 29, 2022 from 4:00 PM until 8:00 PM and from 6:00 AM until service time on Saturday at Gilbert Funeral Home and Crematory.  Funeral service will be held at 1:00 PM Saturday, April 30, 2022 at the funeral home with burial to follow in Greenlawn Cemetery in Franklin, KY.

Betty was born April 21, 1934 in Simpson Co., KY to the late Willard Alford and the late Carrie Perry Alford. She was preceded in death by 2 sisters, Dean Graves and Jearline Alford and 2 brothers, James and Joe Alford.

She is survived by 6 children, Kathy (Wayne) Saylors, Buddy (Shelia) Witt, Judy (Bobby) Ferguson, Alvin (Judy) Meador all of Franklin, KY, Betsy Kennedy of Bowling Green, KY and Ray (Christy) Turner of Portland, TN.  She is also survived by 10 grandchildren, Ashley (James) Broughton, Bridget Uhls, Crystal Ferguson, Troy (Molly) Ferguson, Cory (Molly) Ferguson, Anika (Ben) Deweese, Thomas Kennedy, Robert Kennedy, Prestin Turner, and Luke Turner Crafton; and 11 great grandchildren, Brayden Spencer, Brock Deweese, Bailee Deweese, Tristin Adams, Max Ferguson, Will Ferguson, Jack Ferguson, Annie Ferguson, Dayton Combs, Christain Combs, and Madeline Deweese.

Betty worked at the Drackett Company and retired after thirty years.  She enjoyed going to yard sales, gardening, painting, cooking, and redecorating her house.
