Mr. Benny Johnson, age 81 of Franklin, KY., entered into rest Saturday, November 18, 2017 at 1:48 AM the Medical Center in Franklin, KY.
Arrangements are under the direction of Gilbert Funeral Home where funeral services will be held at 11:00 AM Monday, November 20, 2017 with burial to follow in the Greenlawn Cemetery in Franklin, KY.
Mr. Johnson was born June 27, 1936 in Logan Co., KY. to the late LaPrade Johnson and the late Kathleen Vick Johnson.
He is survived by his wife Sissy Johnson, 3 children Jill Hendricks and Sina Kelley (Kent) both of Franklin, KY. and Kyle Johnson (Elissa) of Louisville, KY., 6 grandchildren Klay Kelley (Taylor), Morgan Gassaway (Chad), Mallory Hendricks, Kendra Kelley, Sam Johnson and Will Johnson, 3 great grandchildren Hudson and Luca Gassaway and Ezra Kelley, 2 sisters Gail Johnson of Franklin, KY. and Joyce Head of Russellville, KY.
Mr. Johnson was a member of the Franklin First Baptist Church, Franklin Country Club and former member of the F-S Quarterback Club. He was retired civil engineer for the Kentucky Department of Highways and Simpson County.
Visitation will be held from 2:00PM until 6:00 PM Sunday, November 19, 2017 and from 6:00 AM until service time Monday at Gilbert Funeral Home.
