Beatrice (Starks) Snider

Mrs. Beatrice Starks Snider, age 89 of Franklin KY., entered into rest Thursday, April 6, 2017 at 1:18 AM at the Skyline Medical Center in Nashville, TN.

Arrangements are under the direction of Gilbert Funeral Home where services will be held at 2:00 PM Sunday, April 9, 2017 with burial to follow in the Meguiar Cemetery in Simpson Co., KY.

A native of Robertson Co., TN., she was the daughter of the late Herman Leonard Starks and the late Myrtle Willie Hammonds Starks.  She was the wife of the late Billie Briggs Snider and was preceded in death by her brother Gerald Starks.

She is survived by her daughter Susan Snider Helms (Bryan) of Newburgh, IN., and son Stephen Briggs Snider (Barbara), sister-in-law Gay Starks all of Franklin, KY.;  4 grandchildren William Craig Snider (Lauren), Andrew Briggs Snider (Laney), Laura Helms Shoulders (Bryce) and Amanda Brooke Helms;  2 great grandchildren Riley Marie Snider and Henry Briggs Snider;  5 nieces and nephews.

Mrs. Snider was a homemaker and loved spending time with her family.  She was a member of the First Baptist Church where she was a library assistant for many years.  She loved researching genealogy and volunteering at the Simpson County Archives.  She was a member of the Simpson County Historical Society, the D. A. R., Lake Spring Homemakers Club and a 4-H leader.

Visitation will be from 3:00 PM until 7:00 PM Saturday, April 8, 2017 and from 6:00 AM until service time Sunday at Gilbert Funeral Home.
