Barry Glen Laney

Mr. Barry Glen Laney, age 69, of Franklin, KY, passed away on Tuesday, June 6th, 2023 at 7:45 PM at his residence.

Barry’s wishes were to be cremated.  Visitation will be from 1:00 PM until 3:00 PM, Saturday, June 10th, 2023 at Gilbert Funeral Home & Crematory.  Private family burial will follow in the Restlawn Memorial Gardens in Simpson Co., KY

Barry was born May 23rd, 1954 in Franklin, KY to the late Charles B. Laney and the late Betty Jean Graves Cline.  He was preceded in death by his step-father, Pete Cline and his step-mother, Mildred Laney.

He is survived by 3 sisters, Malinda Jones (Howard) of Bowling Green, KY, Susan Biggs (Russell) of Danville, KY and Betsy Raby (Steve) of Franklin, KY; 2 nephews, Matthew Jones and Dalton Scott; 4 nieces, Sarah Biggs, Rebekah Biggs, Carrie Bowman and Hanna Renick; and longtime friend, Linda Laney.

Barry was retired from Luvata/Virtus Manufacturing. He was a carpenter in his younger years.
