Annie Laura Pennington Garrett Thurmond

Mrs. Annie Laura Garrett Thurmond, age 93 of Franklin, KY., entered into rest Saturday, October 15, 2011 at the Hospice Center in Bowling Green, KY.
A native of Robertson Co., TN.., she was the daughter of the late Leslie O. Pennington and the late Minnie C. Hodges Pennington. She was preceded in death by her husbands Joe M. Garrett and Hal Munday Thurmond and a brother Lawrence Pennington and a sister Thelma Almond.
She is survived by 3daughters Barbara Keith (Bobby) and Bobbie Jo Yokley both of Franklin, KY. and Cathy J. Palmer (Alan) of Bolwing Green, KY., 7 Grandchildren Cindy Traughber, Laura Hardison, Neal Keith, Jo Walker, Charlie Yokley, Katy Yokley and Chris Palmer, 5 Great Grandchildren and 4 Great Great Grandchildren.
Mrs. Thurmond was a member of the First Baptist Church and member of Ruth Electa #17 Eastern Star, American Legion Auxillary and VFW Auxillary and the A.A.R.P.. She was a retired bookerkeeper. She had worked for Simpson County Seed Co., Strickler Motor Co., Bob's Paint and Glass and Smith's Supplies.
