Amelia Gayle (Gore) White

Mrs. Amelia Gayle Gore White, age 71, of Hendersonville, TN, passed away on Saturday, November 18, 2023 at the TriStar Hendersonville Medical Center in Hendersonville, TN.

Visitation will be held on Friday, November 24, 2023 from 3:00 PM to 8:00 PM at Gilbert Funeral Home & Crematory in Franklin, KY.  Visitation will continue on Saturday, November 25, 2023 from 10:00 AM to 1:00 PM.  Funeral services will be held on Saturday, November 25th at 1:00 PM with interment to follow in Tyree Chapel Church Cemetery in Simpson County, KY.

Amelia Gayle was born on June 7, 1952 in Portland, TN to the late Sidney “Smokey” B. Gore and the late V. Pauline (Stewart) Gore.  She is also preceded in death by her siblings, Robert “Bobby” Gore and H. Benton “Benny” Gore.

She is survived by her husband of 49 years, Bill White; beloved Havanese Reginald “Reggie” Stewart White ; 2 children, Angela E. Steely (Tom) of Clearwater, FL and Wm Sidney White (Shelley Lawler) of Portland, TN; 6 grandchildren, Hannah Curtiss (Cameron), Eva Sonnenblick, Aiden Steely, Johnny White (Tye), Noah Lawler and Seth Lawler; 4 great-grandchildren, Parker White, Dakota Curtiss, Cameron Curtiss, Jr. and Searcy White.

Amelia Gayle was a member of Lakeview Church of Christ in Hendersonville, TN and a member of the Stamping-Up Club.  She was a 1970 graduate of Franklin-Simpson High School.  Amelia Gayle enjoyed to read, crafting and making cards.
