Alma Jean Fagg

Mrs. Alma Jean Fagg, age 83, of Franklin, KY., passed away Saturday, October 26, 2019 at 2:52 PM at her residence.

Arrangements are under the direction of Gilbert Funeral Home where services will be held at 1:00 PM Wednesday, October 30, 2019, with burial to follow in the Sulphur Springs Church Cemetery in Simpson Co. KY.

Jean was born November 1, 1935 in Logan County, KY, to the late Henry Scarbrough and the late Melvina Porter Scarbrough. She was also preceded in death by her husband, Glenn Ray Fagg, a daughter, Teresa Posey, a grandson, Jeremy Gipson, sisters, Joy Downey, Danna Sue Scarbrough, brothers, Earl Scarbrough, Morris Scarbrough, and Jimmy Scarbrough.

She is survived by her children, James C. Gipson “Butch” (Twana) of Morgantown, KY, Louisa Gipson of Franklin, KY, Michael A. Gipson (Johanna) of Auburn, KY, Julie Green of Franklin, KY, a brother, Darris Scarbrough, sisters, Barbara Blackford, and Linda Hines (Elmer), 13 grandchildren, 18 great-grandchildren, and 1 great-great-grandchild.  She was also survived by Nana, her beloved dog.

Jean was a member at Liberty Baptist Church in Auburn, KY and retired from Auburn Hosiery Mill after 35 years.

Visitation will be from 10:00 am Wednesday, October 30, 2019 until time of service at Gilbert Funeral Home.
