Albert Carey Woodward, Sr

A former Simpson Co., Ky., resident, Mr. Albert Carey Woodward, Sr., age 93, of Indianapolis, IN., died Tuesday, July 7, 2009 at 1:35 A.M. the Methodist Hospital in Indianapolis, IN.
A native of Auburn, Ky. he was the son of the late Cooper C. Woodward and the late Nannie E. Harland Woodward. He was the husband of the late Mary Alice Woodward. He was preceded in death by 2 sons Ronnie D. and Jerry W. Woodward.
He is survived by 2 sons Albert Carey, Jr. and Rick Woodward both of Indianapolis, IN., 2 Daughters Mary Nan Pendleton of Russellville, Ky. and Joan Mercer of Indianapolis, IN., Several Grandchildren, Great Grandchildren and Great Great Grandchildren.
Mr. Woodward was a member of the Indianapolis Baptist Temple and was 1933 graduate of Middleton High School, he worked as Heat Treat Control man for Allisons, a division of GM in Indianapolis, IN. for 32 Years. He was a former member of Loyal Order of Moose #17, UAW Local #933, Teamsters Local #135, Patriarch of Woodward Group, Lap sponsor of Brickyard 400 and corporate sponsor of Indianapolis, Metro. Police Dept. Motorcycle Drill Team.
