The oldest living resident of Simpson Co., Ky. and Franklin Church of Christ member, Mrs. Ada Belle James, age 104 of Franklin, KY., entered into rest Saturday, May 7, 2011 at 11:50 P.M. at her residence.
A native of Simpson Co., KY. she was the daughter of the late Thomas D. Witt, Sr. and Margaret Stewart Witt Hunt. She was preceded in death by her son Ed “Weenie’ James, grandson Jesse Wayne Fehrle, step sister Ruby Ramsey and a niece Joy Perkins.
She is survived by a daughter-in-law Barbara James of Franklin, 5 Grandchildren Margaret Matthews of Indianapolis, IN., Bobby James of Lewisburg, KY., Doris Gibbs of Scottsville, KY., Jody James of Franklin, KY., and Howard Redman James of Franklin, KY., Special Great Granddaughter and caregiver Angie Rogers and her husband Kevin of Franklin, Ky., special great great grandchildren Conner Rogers and Tyler Roberts, a niece Marjorie Phillips of Michigan and several great grandchildren and several great great grandchildren.
She was member of the Franklin Church of Christ, American Legion Auxiliary Post #62, A.A.R.P. and was a longtime volunteer for the Red Cross Blood Mobile. She had worked for Washington Manufacturing in Franklin, KY. and Portland Manufacturing for 21 years.
