Peggy Joyce (Ditmore) Graves

Mrs. Peggy Joyce Graves, age 82, of Franklin, KY passed away on Friday, October 27, 2023 at 8:08 AM at the UK Bluegrass Hospice Care Center in Lexington, KY.

Visitation will be from 1:00 PM until 6:00 PM Sunday, October 29, 2023 and from 6:00 AM until service time on Monday at Gilbert Funeral Home & Crematory, Inc.  Funeral service will be held at 2:00 PM Monday, October 30, 2023 at the funeral home with burial to follow in the Greenlawn Cemetery in Franklin, KY.

Peggy was born April 4, 1941 in Simpson Co., KY to the late Harry Bethel Ditmore and the late Leona (Calvert) Ditmore Taylor. She was the wife of the late Charles Edward Graves and was preceded in death by 2 siblings Wayne Ditmore and Janice Lee.

She is survived by 3 children, Charles Steven Graves (Sandy) of Franklin, KY. Lisa Kaye Lewis (Donny) of Lafayette, TN. and Pamela Gayle Simmons (Alan) of Auburn, KY; 7 grandchildren, Susan Glenn (Scott), Lukas Alan Simmons (Hillary), Chris Lewis (Summer), Kayla Chastain (Tyler), Dane Simmons, Melissa Graves and Jenna Simmons; 9 great grandchildren, Kolby and Kensley Glenn; Jadyn, Keaton and Dylan Lewis, Kyler, Kaysen and Trudy Chastain; Adalyn Simmons; 3 siblings, Ann Kirby, Patricia Johnson and Rebecca Lee Steele all of Franklin, KY; a sister-in-law, Pearl Graves of Scottsville, KY and several nieces and nephews.

Peggy was a member of New Middle Fork Missionary Baptist Church.  She was a beautician and loved her clients.  She loved flowers, cooking for her family and playing cards.
