Mary Helen (McCoy) Lucas

Mrs. Mary Helen Lucas, age 73 of Franklin, KY passed away on Friday, March 31, 2023 at 10:39 AM at the Medical Center of Bowling Green, KY.

Visitation will be held on Monday, April 3, 2023 from 12:00 PM until 8:00 PM at Gilbert Funeral Home & Crematory.  Visitation will continue on Tuesday, April 4, 2023 from 8:00 AM until 8:00 PM.  There will be no service.  Mrs. Lucas's wishes were to be cremated and the family will bury her cremated remains on Reeder Cemetery at a later date.

Mary was born on April 7, 1949 in Allen County, KY to the late Joseph Franklin McCoy and the late Corrine Stewart.  She is also
preceded in death by her siblings, Ray McCoy, Dean McCoy, Wilma McCoy, Rebecca Brown, Johnny McCoy and Stella Houchens.

She is survived by 2 children, William Lucas (Leona) of Portland, TN and Becky Basham (Eldon) of Bowling Green, KY; 4 step-children, Bobby Joe Lucas of Franklin, KY, Jessie Lucas of Orlinda, TN, Junior Lucas (Tina) of Dixon, TN and Elizabeth Slack of Franklin, KY; 3 grandchildren, Jeff Basham, Mark Basham and Ashley Basham; several step-grandchildren; 7 great-grandchildren; several step-great-grandchildren; siblings, A.J. McCoy of Franklin, KY and Lee McCoy of Franklin, KY; and her baby (dog), Max.

Mary was retired from Medco Nursing Facility in the kitchen.
